• Doesn’t give the warning/error message like the other SVG plugin.

Although it works fine, the plugin creator is yet to reply to my basic question I sent to him via mail about 1 week ago as to who exactly has access to upload SVG files using this free version.

    Hi @jdstiger,

Apologies if I haven’t got back to you, I’ve been away over Christmas and only got back today. That said, I’ve just checked my email and can’t see anything from yourself.

Regarding who has access to upload SVGs, this isn’t something that the plugin changes, so anyone that can upload will have the ability to upload SVGs. If you want to change this, there is a filter documented in the reader which can help you to do this.

In the future, I’d suggest opening a support ticket here on the forums if you have a question rather than emailing as it’s more likely to be received.

    Regards,
    Daryll

@enshrined I see, what do you mean “there is a filter documented in the reader” are you referring to the “pro” version?

    My apologies @jdstiger,

I was thinking of the premium version when it comes to the filter.

That said, you can still use the wp_handle_upload_prefilter filter, which is what’s used internally for handling user restriction. It’d make sense to hook in with a priority of 9 or below though, in order to save the sanitisation overhead if you do want to bail early.
