Worried about support

We’re considering this plugin as a way to easily change user roles but have some concern about support. I’m seeing some reviews that refer to a lack of response and that’s not good.

We switched from S2Member to MemberPress but we were completely unaware that reassigning user roles would be an issue. We no longer can use the Word Press “Users” menu to change user roles, it doesn’t change anything when selecting a new user role and then hitting the update option at the bottom of the page.

We need to be able to control users who we deem capable of contributing as authors or editors and this plugin was recommended by MemberPress support. We’re using the paid version of MemberPress, by the way.

We’ve learned the hard way not to install plugins with a history of poor support so if anyone has information contrary to what we’re seeing about poor support for this plugin we’d like to hear it.
