• I had a basic, simple question for support (I actually purchased the premium version) and was met with the most snarky, repeated berating emails. In the end, after about 5 attempts to get an answer, I just gave up. If you’re looking for a plugin to do what this one does, just download the Free Woo Stripe plugin and Go! Support for this one is just a fury of email put-downs and not worth it. In over 10 years of purchasing plugins from developers, I’ve never encountered such rude support, refusing to assist with a basic question. Find another plugin please. Don’r support uppity organizations. Vote with your dollars. I just did.

I have a pretty good idea which customer this is; you refused to visit our documentation website https://support.paymentplugins.com/hc/en-us that contained an article that specifically answered your question. I referred you to the page and you got bent out of shape. Also, there is a youtube instructional video that we referred you to that you also apparently did not want to watch. Like the old saying goes, you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink.

    Cheers!

@modlook this user mentions the Free Woo Stripe plugin but this plugin is for Braintree which is an entirely different gateway. They may be speaking about a Stripe plugin that we also have hosted on the WordPress repositories. If so it may be best to move the review there.

That’s not how you use modlook and the answer is no.

Edit: We can’t move reviews and it’s unclear which the user means.

“Mr Clayton” is indeed very nasty with his so-called support. I have seen that first hand. Stay way away from him.

Just to counter these emotions expressed in the previous comment, I am working with this plugin (pro version) for few years now, I had to use support on multiple occasions, Mr Clayton was always responsive, professional and to the point. Last time I contacted support was yesterday so things are fresh on my end.

My experience with Mr Clayton is that if you communicate your question / issue to him clearly – you get the answer required to resolve the issue and move on, no more and no less than that.

I have 2 sites running this plugin and I highly recommend it.

I’ve been doing Software development myself in the past 20+ years and I know how things can slide downhill fast in some occasions because of expectations, language, communication skills and such.

Hope you find this feedback useful.

p.s. – Mr Clayton, the tip you gave us yesterday regarding registering the user before the init action solved our issue, thanks for that.

Those are not emotions benBrooklyn. The author of this plugin (“Mr” Clayton) is unbelievably unprofessional. Honestly, it feels like you are dealing with a kid working in the parent’s basement.
