Our plugin is designed to migrate content seamlessly from one site to another without overwriting or corrupting login details. It’s important to verify that the correct source and destination URLs are entered to avoid any issues.
From what we gather, It’s possible you may have started the migration from the new site and mistakenly set the old site as the destination, instead of the other way around. By doing this, you’ve overridden the login credentials of the older website with the newer one & hence you cannot log in.
To prevent data loss, we recommend creating a full site backup before any migration. Many hosting providers also keep regular backups, so they may have a recent version of your site available to restore.
