Worst process to go through just to use.

  • The most annoying process I’ve gone through with a plugin, so much so I am leaving a review when I never have for a plugin. Here are the steps I went through:

    1) Installed the Plugin per a recommendation article through WPForms.
    2) Find you have to signup through their service and grab an API Key.
    3) Inserted the API key, and go to create a popup.
    4) Have an unavoidable questionnaire popup on Company, what I do, etc.
    5) Go to create a new form. Another popup, This time for a video walkthrough, cannot skip until the 10 second timer is done.
    6) Notice the form is created through their site and does not have access to my forms anymore.

    This is the worst experience I’ve had to just use a dang plugin, I just wanted a quick lightbox plugin for a service request form. I pride myself on building great websites quickly, and forced countdowns and questionnaires are a gross waste of time. It’s the first time I’ve felt hassled around on a website. I guess I should have expected that from a pop-up plugin.

    If you want to get to actually building things quickly without hassle find a different plugin!

    Please, allow us to explain why building the popups itself is on our website while the rest is on WordPress.

    See, generally ours is not just a plugin but a separate tool. This means that it can be used for any website whether it’s WordPress (or any other CMS) based or a custom built one. This is why the popup itself is created on our end but to make it easier for a person to make the popup appear on their own website, we also have the WordPress plugin.

    Also, wanted to note that unlike any other plugins, the popups are hosted on our servers. This is also why the popups are created on our own website where you have to register. The advantage is that this takes the load off of your website and doesn’t affect the speed in any way.
