• Hi There!
I have been having difficulty with the beautiful theme Pique.

I need to make the following changes and need to learn the best way to make that happen.

    1. Adjust the height of the static page – currently it cuts off some text.

    2. Adjust font on panels 5, 6 and 7. For some reason the font shows a shadow and can’t seem to change that?

    3. How do I add a menu for additional pages?

    4. how to add a blog.

Thank you for all that you all do!

    Steve

I would try out another theme to see if the issue continues for cutting off text for a page or post.

Font adjustments: this is related to the theme author’s CSS styling choices. For most themes, to change the look of text —a modification can be made to the style.css file using a child theme or a CSS editor plugin. For a well coded theme your desired changes should be possible.

    These are normal WordPress operations….
adding a blog: this is not really related to your choice of themes.
adding a menu: this is not really related to your choice of themes.

Hi svetter22! I would be happy to help you adjust Pique if you wanted to give it another try.

Let me know if you’re set with another theme or if you prefer Pique, just provide a link to your site and I’d be glad to help you with the necessary CSS for #1 & 2.

For #3, you can add additional pages to the menu by adding a custom menu under Appearance > Menus. Here’s a guide:

For #4, you need to create a static page and call it Blog. Then under Settings > Reading, assign your posts page to the new Blog page.

You can learn more about setting up Pique here:
