Would be amazing if it imported keywords as tags

  • The support team has been very responsive to my questions and are already implementing my suggestions in v5 of the plugin. The paid add-ons are extremely helpful as well for pushing full blog posts from one site to another.

    Original review: The biggest issue with this plugin is that it does not currently import media:keywords in as tags. It imports the category, but if you enable the importing of tags, it pulls the category again.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback and bringing this to our attention. We’d like to clarify that this is not a bug but rather a limitation of how RSS feeds are structured.

    RSS doesn’t differentiate between Tags and Categories. Instead, both are typically stored under the <category> tag. There isn’t a specific standard tag in RSS feeds exclusively for Tags, which is why the plugin handles Tags and Categories similarly, depending on how the feed is configured.

    That said, we understand how important this functionality is to you. We’re actively working on improving this, and a solution will be included as a new feature in Aggregator 5.0.

    In the meantime, we’ve responded to your support ticket and provided a custom code snippet that enables importing Tags from <media:keywords> in Aggregator v4.

    We’d appreciate it if you could try the provided solution and let us know if it works for you. Your feedback is invaluable as we continue to improve the plugin.
