Hello, unfortunately I don’t have a credit card and google maps now requires one.

I don’t know how long I will be able to continue using my “free” API, I assume google will block it in the future…

I was curious if with these changes in google maps is incorporating perhaps you had planned to add new layers (free) to the maps like OpenStreetmap, Bing, Here Maps base-layers or anothers.

    Thanks for the help.

    G’day ramonjosegn,

While I think it’s inevitable that I’ll need to do something like that, it’s not going to happen any time soon. I have to pay the bills so there are other (paying) projects ahead of this in the queue. I intend to add Gutenberg support to the plugin with the next major upgrade, which will be a good time for me to revisit how the plugin builds a map, but adding OpenStreetMap or other service will not be part of that effort.

    cheers,
    Ross

    Hi Ross

I understand your point of view, it’s very understandable.

I love the plugin and the option to have streetview is almost impossible to get in other plugins. Its very functional for my website (about public transport).

I will use my free google api until it is functional…. and then I will see what I will do…

I thank you very much for your kind and quick answers and for all your help.

    Many successes in your projects.
