Would it be possible to show the preview instantaneously?

  • I like your plugin a lot and I have implemented it at https://www.teknofilo.com

    However I find that it takes a few seconds for the preview to load, even if the data is cached (I have sent 24 hours cache length).

    For those links which are cached… would it be possible to show the preview instantaneously? For example, PhoneArena.com shows similar preview windows instataneously when you put the mouse over the link.

    sorry i was away and wasnt able to reply sooner.
    For all the cached thata, plugin responds with preview instantaneously, at least on my websites. Can you please enable my plugin on your website so i can check how long does it take?

    Cache time has been fixed because there was a bug with it, now it should work as expected (version 1.6.1)

    Unfortunately I couldn’t test your plugin because it had a huge conflict with my dashboard panel.

    But I just want to know, Is your plugin similar to phonearena tooltips? Can it fetch title, thumbnail and description? like this:

    Ok it’s exactly what I want. Here is the problem. My site is in Persian, it’s RTL.

    My dashboard should be like this:

    One question: This sentence is not in the linkpreview.net site:

    So why it shows this?

    The plugin reads the SEO data of the link. So if you check the source of the page linked, you will find meta description tag which is used:

    Yes, i’m looking at the problem, obviously its rtl issue with css used and i’m trying to sort it out the best way possible.

    You can try updating to 1.6.2, dashboard issue with RTL should be fine. Tho still you’ll probably want the content in popup show up as RTL so i’ll add few more fixes soon.
