Would like to not use flash animation on my new website.

    Hello,
    Is there a way to find out which themes use flash and which don’t, so I can avoid using it? I like ‘sliding door’ theme, but do not know if it is flash or not.
    I know that iPhones and iPads, and the like, tend not to support it. My current site has flash intro, which I will be dropping so my site can be viewed on mobile devices.

  • You can tell if a part of a website is using Flash or not by right-clicking in the area, and see if the “About Adobe Flash” menu pops up. Or you could visit the site on an iPhone and see if it works.

    If you’re looking a commercial theme, it should have a demo you can look at before buying, where you can see if there’s Flash.

    Also, most theme authors (especially commercial ones) will tell you if you e-mail them and ask.
