Would like to toss out Disqus and get old system back

My client Deena Strker at otherjones.com is very unhappy with Disqus. It used to work, but for the past two months, it’s not posting comments from anyone and it’s not at all clear why not. She wants to toss it out and revert to the old system.
How do I do that? I looked around at Disqus and, not surprisingly, they don’t have any immediately accessible how-tos on how to do that.
