WOW Slider hides Drop Down

You z-index in your styles is set to 100. If you fixed it what is the fix? I assume that styles setting should 2 or 3 not 100. Why is the style.css in the install folder?

What does Put code in between backticks mean?

If I raise the z-index to 101 the menu slides over the WOW Slider. Even though your style.css z-index settings are 1, 5, 6, 7, and 10 I have to raise my nav z-index setting to 101 for the slider to cross over the slider. As I asked before, why is the style.css in the install folder? It seems it should be in the main plugin directory.

1) It’s incorrectly to set the value of z-index parameter for WOWSlider less than 70. I tried to set “z-index: 100” for your menu and “z-index: 80” for WOWSlider and submenus overlap slides correctly.
2) “style.css” file generated with WOWSlider is into the same folder with other WOWSlider files – “wordpress/wp-content/uploads/wow-slider-plugin/ID/”, where ID is ID of WOWSlider.

Thanks to my Theme author I found the problem with WOW Slider. The desktop software is the problem. It creates the files that your WP plugin accesses. The funny part is that the WP plugin uses 1, 5, 6, 7, 10 as z-index setting.

The files created by the desktop software creates a style.css file that uses -1, 50, 60, 70, 100. Did you all know this? Why such a difference.
Being as your container z-index is set to 100 that is why I had to raise my Theme’s nav z-index to 101 so that the drop down menu would slide over the WOW Slider.

How do we know of a desktop software update being as there is no “Check for Update” any place within the software?

1) z-index value of slideshows generated with WOWSlider is 100. I don’t understand where you found values “1, 5, 6, 7, 10”. Actually, plugin itself has not any z-index value. ZIP file contains WOWSlider files (images, .css, .js) and couldn’t have z-index parameter.
Also, maximal value of z-index (for modern browsers) is 2147483647:

So, “100” isn’t so “large” value.
Also, there is no standard/universal/default value of z-index parameter for different elements. Each developer can set any value that he wants. Of course, we couldn’t guess what “z-index” value has each element on the page of any user and which element should be overlapped and which shouldn’t. So, it’s impossible to set “universal” value of “z-index” parameter that will be suitable for any user in any case.
If you use elements that was created by different developers, of course these elements can have a conflict.
So, it’s not a big problem to change the value of one parameter.
2) We inform users of WOWSlider about new versions via email, also you can find this information on our website (What’s new part) and on our Facebook page.
Our developers plan to add “Check for Update” option in the future versions.
