WP 1.2?

  • Hi there,
    I’ve just realised that WP.org runs WP 1.2 (at least this is what the pages say at the bottom of them). I’ve checked SF in order to download the file but I’ve only found 1.0.2
    Is WP 1.2 already available? ?? Thanks! ??

    wp1.2 is in nightlies in beta versions.
    it is not recommended to apply it on regular blogs…

    That is correct, the 1.2 release isn’t quite ready, and is still in beta. You can get it and try it out, but it isn’t recommended for full use. Other wise you may experience what’s known as the “Sushubh Effect” (and yes, that’s the “official” name) where yb things seems to work, and yet are still all wonky at the same time.

    Hi there,
    May I ask when do you plan to release 1.2? I ask about that because some people faced problems installing 1.0.2 and previous versions are not on-line anymore… 1.2 is the only chance we might have to use WP in our weblogs ;-D

    No problems here. I run 1.02 on my home computer with windows xp and xampp (apachefriends.org) and have just installed WordPress at my hosted site. Installation was smooth. Give 1.02 a try.

    Previous versions (back to .72) are available here, though I’m guessing your troubles don’t have anything to do with the version but more with a configuration or hosting error.

    Please, let us know estimated date for 1.2 release. I really *need* some of the features on page About – Future. Thanks.

    I use 1.2 on my blog since I am fairly experienced with PHP, and it seems to be working fine. The only thing that bugs me is that when I edit a post, the post.php page that loads once I click “save” is blank. I can’t seem to figure out why though…

    i’m using 1.2 also…i think from a week ago
    my problem is that comment moderation is on even when i take it off..:-(

    Lilandra: Try out the March 31st Nightly build of 1.2-alpha. I had the same problem until I upgraded to that version. Hope that helps.

    hi, i tried installing it but i’m not sure how to run the scripts to update the tables?

    Just run wp-admin/upgrade.php. ??
