WP 1.2.2 Smilies

  • Hello all,

    Smilies dont seem to convert in WP 1.2.2. Can anyone figure out why? Uploading them via binary format doesnt make a difference. I’ve installed WP on many servers (1.2) with no problems. However I cant seem to figure out why the smilies wont convert. I’ve installed manually as well as through fantastico. Any suggestions?

    (Yes, I know it’s a stupid thing to ask, but I’ve got to start somewhere !)

    I know what the problem is. My site has hotlink protection enabled. Once I’ve deactivated it, it works fine. Thanks for your help, podz.

    Why would enabling hotlink protection affect our site’s smilies if our site is listed as a site that is allowed to link to said smilies? I don’t wish to turn off hotlink protection just so I can see my smilies. Surely there must be a work-around/correction for this problem. My smilies aren’t appearing now either.
