WP 2.6 Post Revisions user is always post author

In the post revisions list is lists the revisions and “by authorname”. When in fact another editor besides the original author can edit and save the content and it appears as if the author made the changes. It seems like the username of the user who clicked save or publish should be recorded instead of the author name.
