WP 2.9 update

  • Hi,

    I have my website running on 2.8.6 right now, and I’m just wondering, with the upgrade, will it affect my plugins that I currently have installed?

  • Well judging from all the upgrade issues, you might run into an issue or 2, but for good practice, deactivate all your plugins before the upgrade, once completed activate them one at a time. checking the site thoroughly after each plugin is reactivated.

    I seriously would recommend holding off on upgrading to 2.9; I did not follow my better judgement, and did, and I am now in a fix…because I lack the technical expertise to address each issue..

    Same here, I upgraded without a thought, and discovered GYS Themed Categories breaks the editing functions on the backend. Probably because WP 2.9 is supposed to have a similar function (that I can’t find any documentation for).

    grrrrr….!!!! First time I’ve had major probs with an upgrade, though.
