• I have been using W3 Cache for a few months now — but have just discovered that right after installing Google started finding lots of 404 issues with many of my older posts.

The problems lie in two areas — but I think WP3 Cache is the same root problem
First — some of the problems are with posts – but it seems to correct if I open the post and resave it. This is obviously quite tedious for so many posts (hundreds) so I am wondering if there is a quicker solution.

The other set is proving more tricky. The 404 errors are on images that I have in galleries attached to posts. I have tried everything — the resave, changing various gallery settings, reloading them — and nothing — I still get errors on many of these images (though not all of them…if I have used them in the post then they seem to be fine in the gallery).

I think that WP3 Cache is the root of the problem — but I am not sure how to resolve. I have been trying to resolve and as part of that I turned on email notifications about issues…and almost immediately I received an email that said this:

“Unfortunately, an error occurred while creating the minify cache. Please check your settings to ensure your site is working as intended.

Thanks for using W3 Total Cache.”

I have no idea what that means…thanks in advance for the help.
