WP 3.0 and Nextgen Gallery Plugin
-
I just upgraded to WP 3.0. The upgrade went without a hitch. As usual, I deactivate all my plugins prior to the upgrade. Typically I re-activate them all at once by checking the box and mass activate. However, this time I lost my admin panel when I did this and got a “fatal error” relating to “memory size exhausted”. After chasing the line in the subject php and found nothing wrong, I decided to go into my control panel and rename the plugins folder, which deactivated all the plugins. This fixed my problem with accessing my admin panel. So I started activating my plugins one at a time to see which one caused the crash. It turned out to be “Nextgen Gallery”. So I am no longer using Nextgen.
I am posting this as a help to others and advise of a bug in 3.0. I will also post a similar posting with Nextgen.
Hope this helps if anyone else has a problem with Nextgen or any other plugin crashing their admin panel.
