WP 3.0- auto embed and images not working

  • I’ve recently upgraded to WP 3.0 and for some reason, auto embed no longer works. The video doesn’t show up when i paste in plain text on its own line. When i use the auto uploader, it just creates a link.

    Same with images. NO images are now showing up for Lightbox Gallery via auto upload. I disabled the lightbox and still the same issue.

    Anyone have any insight on this?

  • Make sure that the link is on its own line. For example, there should not be a <p> or </p> near it, otherwise it will not work. TinyMCE Advanced may cause this because it adds paragraphs.

    i had the contrary experience:
    in tinyMCE advanced plugin i had to check “stop removing <p> and
    tags” checkbox for it to work…. although i had to check/uncheck it several times…
