• Hello! First of all – constructor is a great, awesome tool!!!
    Question:
Is there any chance to clone completely all theme setting to all sites in sites network?

I use WP 3.0 and have over 10 sites, every time when I creating new site, I need to do a lot of thing to theme it with my default theme.

  • editing the theme usually refers to editing the php templates within the theme, not changing options in menus. ??

All themes are shared – if you have a user editing a file, it affects all users.

options pages are ideal for this kind of setup, that way each site CAN have differences that are saved in the database. And not hardcoded in files. ??

    So you’re fine.

Andrea, thanks for the clarification; now that certainly makes sense!

I confused, and may be its the terminology and I am new to the networked WP.

I run wordpress 3.0.1 (networked with domain support) and installed the constructor theme. I have created a new wordpress networked site with an Administrator.

This Administrator can modify a constructor theme and save the theme back. This modified constructor theme or new theme is then accessible by other sites. This does not seem to be the way peterfletcher38 says it works.

I would like to see an Administrator having access to a set of constructor themes, that they can modify and save their own copies.

I would like to see that an upgrade would cater for this.

Presently I now have to create the websites, and only allow editor access to my clients, stopping them from modifying the themes, and potentially damaging them.

OK am I missing something fundamental.

It’s mostly specific to this particular theme, and the way it saves the changes.
