WP 3.4 Problem [Redirection Widget Not Opening]

  • Can someone provide a method for downgrading back to 3.32 from 3.4 because after the upgrade I’ve encountered several problems specifically in wp-admin.

    1. Redirection, Everytime I click any pages to edit in the wp-admin I get redirected somehow to a specific forum page of bbpress. I deleted that forum page and another one is chosen immediately.

    2. Widget boxes will not open at all. I’ve tried disabling my most recent plugins with absolutley no avail.

    Can anyone help me or provide me a way to downgrade to 3.32.

    Try resaving your permalinks to fix #1.

    As for #2, turn off all the plugins.

    Otherwise the backout is to restore your old DB and upload the 3.3.2 core files.

    I never noticed how fast wordpress is without all these plugins on. THANKS Both problems fixed from disabling 94 plugins. Now time to find out which one is causing the problems.

    Turns out Google Custom Search prevented certain scripts from launching thus preventing from opening the Widget box.

    DN Brawler .. . THANK YOU!!!! for this information. I was about to pull out my hair! I just updated about an hour ago and lost all access to the Widgets. Disabling the Google Custom Search FIXED the problem. Much obliged!
