WP 3.4.2/Firefox 15.0.1 Spellcheck not working
-
I tried disabling all plug-ins and switching to 2011 theme. I also re-installed WordPress.
When I tried to activate spellcheck in the WYSIWYG editor, I get the following error message:
Error response: <br /> <font size='1'><table class='xdebug-error' dir='ltr' border='1' cellspacing='0' cellpadding='1'> <tr><th align='left' bgcolor='#f57900' colspan="5"><span style='background-color: #cc0000; color: #fce94f; font-size: x-large;'>( ! )</span> Warning: fsockopen() [<a href='function.fsockopen'>function.fsockopen</a>]: unable to connect to ssl://www.google.com:443 (Unable to find the socket transport "ssl" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP?) in C:\wamp\www\lietuva\wp-includes\js\tinymce\plugins\spellchecker\classes\GoogleSpell.php on line <i>86</i></th></tr> <tr><th align='left' bgcolor='#e9b96e' colspan='5'>Call Stack</th></tr> <tr><th align='center' bgcolor='#eeeeec'>#</th><th align='left' bgcolor='#eeeeec'>Time</th><th align='left' bgcolor='#eeeeec'>Memory</th><th align='left' bgcolor='#eeeeec'>Function</th><th align='left' bgcolor='#eeeeec'>Location</th></tr> <tr><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='center'>1</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='center'>0.0032</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='right'>400744</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec'>{main}( )</td><td title='C:\wamp\www\lietuva\wp-includes\js\tinymce\plugins\spellchecker\rpc.php' bgcolor='#eeeeec'>..\rpc.php<b>:</b>0</td></tr> <tr><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='center'>2</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='center'>0.0257</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='right'>766880</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec'><a href='https://www.php.net/call_user_func_array' target='_new'>call_user_func_array</a> ( )</td><td title='C:\wamp\www\lietuva\wp-includes\js\tinymce\plugins\spellchecker\rpc.php' bgcolor='#eeeeec'>..\rpc.php<b>:</b>98</td></tr> <tr><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='center'>3</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='center'>0.0258</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='right'>767112</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec'>GoogleSpell->checkWords( )</td><td title='C:\wamp\www\lietuva\wp-includes\js\tinymce\plugins\spellchecker\rpc.php' bgcolor='#eeeeec'>..\rpc.php<b>:</b>98</td></tr> <tr><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='center'>4</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='center'>0.0258</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='right'>767368</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec'>GoogleSpell->_getMatches( )</td><td title='C:\wamp\www\lietuva\wp-includes\js\tinymce\plugins\spellchecker\classes\GoogleSpell.php' bgcolor='#eeeeec'>..\GoogleSpell.php<b>:</b>20</td></tr> <tr><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='center'>5</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='center'>0.0258</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec' align='right'>768720</td><td bgcolor='#eeeeec'><a href='https://www.php.net/fsockopen' target='_new'>fsockopen</a> ( )</td><td title='C:\wamp\www\lietuva\wp-includes\js\tinymce\plugins\spellchecker\classes\GoogleSpell.php' bgcolor='#eeeeec'>..\GoogleSpell.php<b>:</b>86</td></tr> </table></font> Could not open SSL connection to google.{"id":null,"result":[],"error":null}
Not that important, but I wanted to mention/ document.
