WP 3.8 made my private files public!!

  • I have made some members attachment pages for private site members to get private files on my site.

    After updating to WP 3.8, non-welcome users can now punch in the direct URLs to these attachment pages (if they have them) to get my private files! This is not good.

    What code can I enter in the attachment page under WP 3.8 to make users who are not logged in to WP on my site be redirected? Please help.

  • This happened to me as well!

    I am trying to set my wp blog to private – cannot find any info on this that isn’t outdated or 5 years old.
    In my settings, there is no option for setting blog to private.
    please help?
