WP 3.9 Image Editing Issue

  • Since the upgrade to WP 3.9 I can no longer edit an image, like changing the alt text, the description, the alignment or the link.

    Also if an image is left aligned, the text in the editor cannot be placed to the right of the image. It shows up below the image in the editor, however when I save the post, it shows up correctly. Previously the text and the image could be edited and they would look the same as the saved version, but now the image and the text won’t align properly in the editor.

    And yes I did clear all caches.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
