I updated to 4.7 and suddenly all my posts have lost their paragraph breaks. When I look at them in the text editor, the breaks are still there (both in the visual and html versions). I don’t cut and paste text; I write directly into the post.

Here’s the version from the text editor:
Hmmm… I just updated my blog theme, and now it won’t honor any of my paragraph breaks. So this post will feel really manic. Sorry about that. WTW?!

    We decorated.

    We shopped.

    We listened to Christmas music.

We exchanged stockings and a couple gifts.

It was nice and everything, but just a little … anticlimactic.

I have updated all my plugins and themes and I cleared my Chrome cache.
    What else can I do?!

  • @dentsadventure my best guess is that it has something to do with your plugins. You have the updated version of 2014 theme, which has been working fine with the new WP 4.7 for me on my sites. However, I have seen issues like what you are experiencing from plugin interaction issues. I would recommend that you deactivate all of your current plugins and make sure you don’t have any caching going on.

It also looks like you are on bluehost, make sure that your PHP version is up to date (at least PHP 5.6). Bluehost may not have forced you to update yet.

    Thank you!
When I originally went to update everything, I had the message that said all my plug-ins were up to date. However, on your advice, I deactivated all the plug-ins. Then I got messages saying they all needed to be updated (?). Only one wouldn’t update: easycollage. I reactivated all of them except easycollage, and now my paragraph breaks are back.
    Whew!
Now I just have to go back to old posts and delete the easycollage links.
    Thanks again!
