    Hello,
I noticed that after upgrading wordpress to 4.4 version the NextGen Gallery has a problem with creating gallery folders in the wp-content/gallery folder, instead it creates folders in the main dir with the names like this: wp-contentgalleryname_of_gallery.

Should I downgrade my WP until a new release of NexGen? Is there a way to move the galleries in the proper folder without uploading them again?

@ricods – We’re not seeing this in our testing … there could be a plugin conflict going on here or at least it should be ruled out. Have you tried deactivating all of your plugins, clearing your browser cache (and site caches if you are using a caching plugin), then reactivating the NextGEN plugin?

If this fixes the problem then it was likely one of the deactivated plugins that was causing an issue. Now, retrace your steps activating each plugin and re-checking to see if the problem returns. If it does then that last activated plugin was probably the one. Keep reactivating and in most cases it is also best to keep checking after each plugin, sometimes there may be more than one plugin on a site that will create an issue. If you do find one (or more) plugins causing this problem we would greatly appreciate your feedback on them so the developers may address them as soon as they can.

Also to note, in rare cases it may be the theme itself that is causing a conflict so while you have just the NextGEN plugin activated you might consider temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress Twenty series themes and see if this corrects the issue as well.

If the problem still persists after all of this we would still want to know, even more so, as we will still want to sort out the issue and may need additional details.

    Thanks!

    Hello,
thank you for your reply. I have turned off all the plugging except NextGen and continued to look for the reason of this problem. This issue happens only when I create a gallery with the Add Gallery/Images. When I’m creating galleries from the Manage Galleries tab I don’t have this problem.
The theme is a roots-theme modification, I mostly use the same plug-ins and I never had this problem before. This issue is on my clients server in polish company home.pl, and I also did a test on my server witch I have in a different hosting company and there I don’t have this problem. So probably its a server side issue. I also don’t know why NexGen doesn’t load polish language at home.pl even do the file with polish language is there.

@ricods – There have been issues in the past with that specific web host and their server configurations … it is possible to run NextGEN Gallery on their servers but I do not recall the very specific setting that needs to be used to get things sorted out. We have written a great deal of code to address most of the issues this host creates but there are still a few rare cases where that is not enough.

As to creating a custom template, have a look at this article: https://nextgen-gallery.com/templates

    Thanks!

@ricods you need to set a redirect to a subdirectory without separation of the service. Sepraracja causes an error cutting / character when creating the gallery.

@lemaq – Thanks, again, for sharing. Do you have any specific further details we might be able to use to mitigate this issue going forward?

    Thanks!
