    Hello,

I’ve been working with this new version now for a couple of days and am experiencing problems creating links within both Posts and Pages.

I go through the motions to create a link, however it doesn’t save the link (or changes to an existing link). It seems to reset by taking you to the top of the page/post without creating the link (or link change).

After repeating the procedure a few times, it seems to work… Not sure what I’m doing differently – Perhaps it’s a ‘timing’ thing of some sort (maybe the auto-save?)

    HELP… This is frustrating!

My guess is that you’re trying to make a link in the Classic Block.

There are a couple known problems with the Classic Block at present, so I recommend using the more normal blocks like the Paragraph block. The link tool there works and is much nicer.

Latest Editor is really Awesome. But if u still want to use Old Classic edit, you can use Classic Editor Plugin for old experience.

For your kind information, If you use latest editor, than u will like it. I can challenge.

    Thanks

Thanks guys… Using the Paragraph Block works better, however that is requiring me to convert all my existing content – Not Good. I’ll continue to struggle with this new Editor, but I’m not digging it at the moment!

Yes, try starting just a new post with it, instead of trying to edit your old content. You may find the learning curve much lesser there.

I made this short video for another user yesterday, to demo a new post and inserting an image and such. Maybe it’ll help you too.

This is way too much trouble for a simple function like creating a link.
