    Hello,

I just update to WP 5.3 and SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle 1.15.9.

The first mobile phone view of a page containing [embed]*.mp4[/embed] will have a not-found error. The source file will be added *.mp4?=1, so it cannot be found.

Refreshing the page will fix it.

I downloaded it to 1.15.8, the bug will disappear.

    Please fix it, thank you.

    Hi meken

    Thanks for reaching out.

Which widget is the embed in?

I also have to roll back SiteOrigin Page Builder to 2.10.12

    I think:
    <div class=”siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget”>

Thanks. I’ve added a demo of a MP4 embedded in an Editor widget here. All seems normal.

To diagnose the issue, you’ll need to recreate the problem and then seek out a working baseline by temporarily deactivating all non-SiteOrigin plugins and switching a default theme like Twenty Nineteen. If you can find a working baseline you can troubleshoot from there.

    `Thanks.

Are you viewing it in iphone (safari, firefox, chrome)?

Your demo also breaks in iPhone:

    You have mp4?_=3

    <source type="video/mp4" src="https://demo.siteorigin.com/corp/files/2019/11/file_example_MP4_480_1_5MG.mp4?_=3" /><a href="https://demo.siteorigin.com/corp/files/2019/11/file_example_MP4_480_1_5MG.mp4">https://demo.siteorigin.com/corp/files/2019/11/file_example_MP4_480_1_5MG.mp4</a>

    Thanks for clarifying.

Are you sure this is related to SiteOrigin? I’ve set up another demo with the embed code inserted into the Classic Editor. Page Builder or the Widgets Bundle isn’t in use on this page.

    https://demo.siteorigin.com/corp/embed-classic/

The issue appears to be the same.

    Thanks.

But downgrading these 2 plugins will fix the bug.

    I am confused. ??

Please, upgrade to the latest versions. Create a demo page, embed the same video in the Classic Editor or the Block Editor, just not in Page Builder. Please, send us the link to both the problem page and the demo page, we’ll take a look from there. Thanks.

Can you tell me how to send you the link?

If you can still edit your original post, there is a URL field provided, that field is only visible to logged in users.

    Thanks.

My site is using varnish cache + w3 total cache, so it is not easy to locate the reason, too complicated.

Why not you start to find the reason from your own site:

If I view these two urls with my iPhone:
    https://demo.siteorigin.com/corp/embed-classic/
    https://demo.siteorigin.com/corp/embed-2/

Media error. Format(s) not supported or source(s) not found

In our demo, the issue persists, regardless of whether our plugins are used. I can definitely ask the team to offer an opinion on why that’s happening but it changes the support issue to a general WordPress question and not something SiteOrigin specific. We’re a small operation working with very limited resources. We strive to offer excellent support but that support is first to our own products. Please, take a moment to see if this issue is persisting in the Classic Editor on your site.

In terms of resolving the core issue, you can try running your MP4 through https://handbrake.fr/. Here is a video before optimization and here is that same video after being processed through Handbrake. The issue is resolved. The test is done in the Block Editor Video Block and Twenty Nineteen without any SiteOrigin plugins.
