• Hu guys,

After the update, my front page header image broke. It should be there, but it’s not. When I go to the Frontend editor it shows up there, but the rest of the time it’s just blank background.

I’ll appreciate your help, as I don’t have any idea of coding.

PD: I’ve already tried it on Chrome, Safari, Firefox and incognito mode. The same issue.

    Thanks,

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

What was your previous WordPress versions?
When WordPress 5.5 launched, WordPress stopped loading by default jQuer-migrate, a sublibrary of since long deprecated functions in jQuery.
So if you updated not from 5.5 but from some older version of WordPress, then you might just have revealed that your theme is still calling some outdated jQuery functions.
There’s an easy way to tell. Install https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ and see if that “fixes” your problem. If Yes, then make sure to not upgrade further to WordPress 5.6 before you’ve updated your theme or replaced it with some other theme. The plugin I mentioned here will guide you further around how to test and check this.
