WP 5.5 – Adding/Editing Tags No Longer Possible

    We have a client running two sites where they use tags frequently. This afternoon, one of those sites updated, and the client is no longer able to edit or add tags to a post. Everything related to tag administration (including the link to view most used) just stopped working completely.

    Their other site was not updated yet, and it works just fine. They’re using identical custom-programmed themes and identical plug-ins. The only difference between them is their version of WordPress. We’re using the classic editor – the client absolutely refuses to use Gutenburg after demoing it a few times over the past year.

    Is there a known bug related to tags, or are tags working for others without any problems?

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

    If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    What a great tool – that’s the first time I’ve used it, and it works as advertised ??

    It appears the issue is with Schema and Structured Data For WP – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/schema-and-structured-data-for-wp/ . I’ll work with their support to figure out the problem.
