    Hi

Using WP 5.5 two sites one with standard blocks and the other with classic editor plugin, Yoast will not work on either site.

All I can see on the post or page when editing are the 3 yoast tabs, ‘SEO, Readablity and Social’, nothing below them and the tab links do not work. Also in the right hand section the Yoast info for the post or page does not appear.

So it suggests Yoast will not work with correctly WP5.5.

    Thanks Tracey

    Hi,

Just tested the Yoast 14.8 update on WP 5.5 and it is still not working, so we took our site back to WP 5.4.2

    Thanks

    Hi @scruffy1 ,

It seems that for some installs, the recent WordPress 5.5 update breaks functionality in some plugins.

We hope this is sorted soon, but in the meantime, the proposed solution is installing this plugin by the WordPress team itself: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/

That seems to solve most of the issues caused by this for now. When you revert back to 5.5 and the issue persists, can you please install that plugin, and let us know whether this resolves the issue for you?

    Hi @scruffy1 ,

We’re closing this thread because we haven’t heard back from you in a while. Should you have further questions, please open a new thread.

I got the same issue and found why! My theme contains jQuery libraries with obsolete functions such ?live?.
In my console, I had a jquery error ?live is not a function?. I replaced it by ?on? and all works pretty well now ??

Having the same issue, since i updated to 5.5.

All plugins are up to date.

Please advise, as this is a premium version.
