• Hello Simon,

after updating to WordPress version 5.6 the slide anything plugin is still working on my page (at the frontend there are no problems) but I can’t edit the content in the backend (the slides are empty…).

Is the current version of sa slider not fully compatible with WordPress 5.6 ? Will you update the slider plugin soon? Do you think that I can edit the slider then automatically or is there anything I have to note and to do?

    Thank you…

    Hemmo

Nope no problems with 5.6 – its the version of WP I use on all my sites.

Are you getting any JavaScript errors in the back-end?
(press CTRL+SHIFT+J keys together to show the JavaScript Console)

As a shot in the dark, go to “Settings – >Writing” – at the bottom of this page is a checkbox called “Disable TinyMCE Button” – try ticking this.

I’m also experiencing this issue with SA Pro. I updated to 5.6 and it kept slides on the front-end and on the backend it displays just slide content. I can’t add any slides either.

Did you look to see if there are JavaScript errors in the WP Dashboard Edit Slider page (as I suggested above)?

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘Component’ of undefined

@joshuaahlers – in your JavaScript Inspector, you need to hover over the line causing the error message (on the right-hand side I think). This will display a path & filename for the file causing the error.

This will hopefully tell us the plugin (or theme) which is generating the JS error.

This is the error that I get when I remove plugins causing other errors.

I’m sorry but I cannot open that link you provided – it says ‘page not found’.

Do you have the “Yoast SEO” plugin installed – if so have a look at this post topic:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/major-conflict-with-yoast-seo-15-8/
There are issues with the current version of Yoast SEO at the moment.

I disabled Yoast, cleared the cache and it still had the same issues. Any other thoughts on what it might be?

We still need to find out what is causing the JavaScript error you sent above – that screenshot link you sent me, I could not open (it gave a 404 page not found error message).

Basically by hovering over the JavaScript error you should be able to see the filename of the file generating the error (which will be something like “/wp-content/plugins/…” or “/wp-content/themes/…”. This provides a clue as to what is causing the error.

Experiencing the same. Just seeing “Slider Content” in backend, can’t add slide, whenever you place content it overwrites existing ones.

Sad thing is looks like my site developer abandoned me also. ??

So wish i could find answers here. Thank you.

Contact me via the contact form at the bottom of this page:

Then if you provide me with your WP Dashboard login details I can log in and have a look around to see if I can find the answer.
