WP 6.5.5 cannot edit Pages or Posts – get blank white page

  • Started a few weeks ago. I update the site a few times a month. Using WP 6.5.5, Twenty Twenty theme. When I try to edit ANY Page (no posts on this site) I get a white, blank screen. Tried the following: changing themes, downgrading PHP, checked the wp-config file (define( ‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8’ ); looks ok), deactivated each plugin, one by one, checked in Filezilla, nothing out of the ordinary, reinstalled WP 6.5.5 again, cleared cache. Nothing worked. Starting to panic as we have a speaker next Wednesday and I really need to update it!

    Also, the check box for “select all” plugin updates doesn’t work and the same with “select all” with spam messages.

    Same result on another website, https://stephengcmusic.com

    Another website I work on https://g6gtech.com uses WP 6.1.7 and everything works there. Same server.
