    Hi,

In the new sidebar in the Gutenberg editor (WordPress 6.6.2), the “Crop article image” button is no longer displayed under the article image. The button is only displayed when selecting images in the media library.

    Plugin Version: 19.0

The error could be reproduced in different WordPress installations, also with different Themes.

    Thanks for help,

    Volker

    Hi Volker,

yeah this is because Gutenberg handles thinks differently, it uses JS to build the backend-editor. I didn’t got the time to have a deeper look if its possible to add an separate button if an post-thumbnail is defined.

Currently the only way is to open the media library and click on the crop button there.

Sorry for that. If you are familiar with the JS-Part of the Gutenberg Editor feel free to participate on github, to get this more convenient to use.
