wp-admin link suddenly stopped working

okay, still loads through the root Yay!

Non working links are confined to the homepage and anything relate dto this one

still working, pages faster. Links on the home page now point to “no results found” but within the sites framework

I have no clue where this link is coming from:

You say there is no 2014 directory in public_html. Is there a directory like that in the WordPress install directory “wordpress”?

Although, the link doesn’t look like that is possible.

Yes, there are going to be links still that don’t work until you update the links to show the new url.

There is a 2014 folder within the /wordpress/uploads/2014

Although, if I remove /2014 from the url it still shows the image. So, that seemingly can be removed from the url and it will work. Don’t rush into that though. I want to make sure.

Yes, but that uploads folder shouldn’t be showing in the url right after the domain name. It should be in the proper order.

note: there is nothing inside the 2014 uploads folder

Yeah, that is an odd one for me. But it can be replaced. So, you should be able to use the following plugin to find and replace the links to point to the correct location.

I would read it carefully. It doesn’t seem to automatically replace but it finds the urls and allows you to replace them without trying to find them within the db yourself.

I can search through the plugins and see if I can find something better, but I think that will probably do better than searching through the db manually. Let me know.

Oh, there is one more thing. Let’s try that last one we tried before it broke the admin section. I believe that might work now. You are still showing part of the site when adding /wordpress/ to the url.

In wp_sitemeta table, “siteurl” remove the /wordpress and see if everything still works.

It wants you to have wordpress/ inserted. That should change with what I just suggested.

That will get you into the dashboard.

Until you run that plugin and see what other links are there that need to be changed, you might have some issues like that.

Once you get into the dashboard, go in and resave the permalinks again. That will flush the rewrite rules again and may clear that up.
