wp-admin menu text/icons

  • I used to be able to switch between icons and text on the wp-admin menu. For some reason that I can’t understand or fix I have become locked into seeing only the icons instead of text like … posts/pages/media/ etc. This has become frustrating. Please tell me what stupid thing I have done and how I can fix it.

    There should be a circle icon with a right facing triangle inside, at the bottom of the icon stack. Click it!

    If you tried that and it doesn’t work, check your browser console for script errors. Any errors listed will need to be resolved for the expansion icon to work.
