WP admin not working and posts still private

    Hello everybody,
    I have two problems with my blog…likearollingstone86.com

    1) I cannot access the wp-admin page…when I try to do that, a blank page appears and I can just access it from wordpress.com (I had migrated when I launched it).

    2) I had set my posts as private – not index, now I changed this setting, but I cannot see them (the posts are visible and published).

    I hadn’t entered my blog for a long time, so might it be that something has expired? It seems all OK with Dreamhost.

  • 1)Login to your cpanel and change plugin foler name that you last installed/updated ( or rename all plugins). Then try to login with wp-admin. This is temporary. If it works, rename plugin folder name to original. You can rename folder as pluginName-temp, where pluginame is your real plugin name

    2) If you are using any chache plugin, clear the cache.

    WordPress script doesn’t expire, Web hosting account expires. If your website is working, it means it isn’t expired.

    thegipsyqueen – I checked your account and it’s in good standing ??

    But https://likearollingstone86.com/ is actually still hosted on WordPress.com.

    Your nameservers are ns1.wordpress.com and ns2.wordpress.com and so on.

    If you want to use DreamHost’s hosting, you’d want to change those to this:

    ns1.dreamhost.com
    ns2.dreamhost.com
    ns3.dreamhost.com

    To do that, go to https://panel.dreamhost.com/index.cgi?tree=domain.manage& and click on DNS for the domain in question, and change the nameservers to DreamHost.

    For a while, ‘wp-admin’ wasn’t working when I tried to log-in, so I found in Dr. Google, that .php might work. It did. Try inserting: .php and let us know

    Hi, thanks for your replies.

    I tried to put .php at the end, but it didn’t work.
    I changed the DNS names on dreamhost on a computer, saved the changes, got the email that was modified and thought everything was fine, but now that I logged in from another computer I saw it was still hosted on wordpress.

    Now it shows the old version of the blog, I guess the one before the migration to www.ads-software.com with just the first posts before migration. No sign of the other posts.

    I tried to rename the plugin folder and empty the cache but no changes.

    Maybe it takes time for the DNS to refresh?

    Now I get this when I try to log in

    Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/margio3/likearollingstone86.com/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven-child/functions.php:14) in /home/margio3/likearollingstone86.com/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1178

    It was written also to remove the advance-cache.php file and I did it.
