    Hi there

Please see the screenshot https://prntscr.com/u6k7qd. My WP-Admin > Pages > All shows a count of 71 pages, but have only 4 published pages, 1 in the trash, and one is in a pending review.

    Where are the remaining pages?

    Thank you.

  • Are you using elementor? If so their 3.0 update causes an issue similar to this on some installs, what version are you running?

I do not use Elementor, actually. Never used.
As can be seen in the screenshot https://prntscr.com/u6k7qd, Elementor is not installed.

    Any more thoughts are welcome.

    Thanks.

What happens if you disable all plugins and activate the Twenty Twenty theme?

@pidengmor makes a good suggestion see what using default theme with no plugins does. I would suggest using the troubleshooting plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ to do that. The plus of using this plugin is it will disable everything for just the logged in admin who is doing the debugging.

    Hi (@pidengmor)

I am afraid, my website is always busy so I am unable to disable all plugins as it will cause issues for my visitors.

    HI (@binarywc),
I tried the plugin, and it came all clean actually (Other than it wants me to remove unused plugins and themes). It passed all the main tests.

    Any other thoughts are welcome.

    Thanks so much, really appreciated.

the plugin is not the same as the built in feature. I have a hunch you have not tried the plugins yet. Please install the plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ and you will see on the plugins page that an option to disable for debugging shows up that is not there by default.

The built in feature of WP does not allow you to disable plugins. As I described in my earlier post

The plus of using this plugin is it will disable everything for just the logged in admin who is doing the debugging.

    Hi @binarywc,

I did use this https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/, actually. However, earlier I did not try disabling plugins and themes. I just tried it with your plug-in and, nope it still has the same issue, despite disabling all themes (except default wp theme), and disabling all plugins.

    Any other thoughts are welcome.

    Thanks.

Okay, to be clear there is a built in health check feature that does not allow the plugins to be disabled. Since you have attempted using that feature of the plugin I’d suggest trying to reinstall WP by clicking the reinstall button. You can find this option by going to your main admin dashboard then clicking the Re-install button above the plugin section of the page.

    Hi @binarywc

I upgraded WordPress to 5.5 just a few days ago, and this problem has persisted since over a year ago. Do you think reinstalling may still help?
I just want to avoid disruptions to my users.

    Thanks.

Maybe your database was damaged. If that is the case it will be very hard to resolve this and I’m not even sure where you’d start.

The only other thing I can think of is that your user accounts permissions are damaged and have been. Probably because at some point a permissions plugin was used to block you from accessing content not created by you. There are a few different plugins such a thing can be done with. If this was done and the plugin was then removed there is no way I am aware of to resolve the issue except to reinstall that exact plugin from the main admin’s account and reset all permissions for your account.

If you are the main admin than the database has been damaged and you will need to look into repairing post permissions so you see everything.

    Hi @binarywc

Thank you so much, I will check that for sure.
Your taking the time to help me is really appreciated.

    Thanks again.

    Hi all

Just so this can help someone else – the issue was caused because I disabled a plugin that allowed me to archive pages. Once I enabled that plugin, then I can see the archived pages in the Archive Pages section.

Sorry, it was not a bug, just my oversight.

Thank you so much for taking the time and helping me out.
