WP-Admin pages and Connection Timeouts

  • Hi All, Hope I can get some pointers here.

    Last night, I was having problems posting and navigating through my WP-Admin pages.. everything was working fine before then for a long time.
    I manage 8 word press sites, and they all have the same problem.

    My ISP is ROGERS , my upload speed SUCKS of course.. it’s like 0.25 mb upload.

    My HOSTING provider is: GODADDY

    I called Godaddy and they say there are no issues on their end.
    I called Rogers and no issues on their end.

    How would I even start to troubleshoot this further ??

    Updated: I just renamed by plugins folder and same problem. I can login fine.. that’s not an issue, when I click to go POST or edit a POST or navigate to some other places in the back end.. I get Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to laganafitness.com

    So, it’s not the Plugins.

    What next ?

    Ask GOdaddy or post the error log if something like that exist in your public_html folder.

    If the problem persist backend (filemanager or shell access) i dont think it has anything to do with WordPress.

    ok, nothing in the error logs at all. Here’s what I found out.

    On my only computer running Windowx XP, I’ve tried Firefox, Chrome, MSIE 8 and they all have the same problem.. I can login but can’t navigate without getting a blank page – (connection timeout) no errors.

    Here’s the kicker! It works fine on my iPad. I create create posts, updates, navigate anywhere in wp-admin and it works completely fine.

    I’m wondering what the heck has happened to my PC, and specially what the heck is causing WP-ADMIN to behave this way ?

    If you are getting a connection timeout error it may be related to php (connection timeout settings in php.ini) but it doesn’t make sense why its working with your ipad. You should try clearing browser cache and check as well.

    I’ve confirmed it’s not the server or wordpress config. It’s my PC Windows XP SP3.. I have no idea why I can’t hit any WP-ADMIN pages, except for the Login and landing page.. AND here’s another KICKER !! All my sites, have the same symptom on their homepage URLs.. I can hit the homepage, but when I try to navigate anywhere else, I get a page cannot be displayed. This only happens on my PC.. My PC at work is fine and I’ve tested in on others as well.
