WP Admin Redirect Loop Issue

    Upon the automatic upgrade this morning to v 1.4.11, we were unable to log in successfully to the wp-admin at all. Neither I or the other admin could get beyond a loop error at the following URL /wp-admin/admin.php?page=popup-maker. This was happening when starting from the /wp-login.php with no redirect query in the URL.

    Could this perhaps be a transient issue? I deleted the plugin and all went back to normal. I have v 1.3.9 archived so may roll back to that. Wondering though if there was anything I could do before that however.

    @psm9640 – This is the first time I have heard of this. So as soon as you installed it you got kicked out and looped? Not sure I follow exactly what is happening.

    The only redirect I can think of is to another URL. I believe it would be edit.php?post_type=popup and ask you to opt in, skip it and never shows again though. Definitely not a redirect loop caused by that or it would be reported in dozens of other plugins as well (Freemius for usage stats on plugins).

    Can you try installing a fresh copy?

    I’ll give it a shot soon. It was an auto-update of the plugin I believe but we tried to log in in the AM and that behavior started for us. Not 100% sure but admins may have been the only ones effected.
