WP Admin Screen Freezes, Can't bring up site at all

  • Good Morning,
    I can not bring up my site at all this morning – https://www.gritsandpinecones.com. I can bring up the admin page, but when I try to do anything it freezes.
    My browser is Google Chrome and I use a MAC computer
    I am not a techie and am at a loss of what to do.
    I did read the “read this post first” but am not experienced enough to go through the steps it mentioned even if I could do anything on the admin page.
    I don’t know where else to go and realize you are volunteers and can’t resolve everyone’s individual issues but if you could point me in the right direction or recommend someone to hire to fix my problems I would really appreciate it.

    Just an update, I was finally able to get into my admin screen and deactivate all of my plugins before it froze again. This did not resolve the issue. My site still will not load and all I get is a white screen.

    https://www.gritsandpinecones.com/wp-login.php responds almost immediately for me. Your front page tries to load, but always times out. You may have a theme related issue. Try logging in directly at https://www.gritsandpinecones.com/wp-login.php and see if you can temporarily change to the default WordPress theme, then check if the symptom changes at all.

    [edit] A little extra info – I think your active theme may be “Zephyr”. If that’s correct (and while commercial themes aren’t supported here in the forums – and assuming I even have the correct theme) this might be of interest if it turns out to be theme related.     You are correct, my active theme is Zephyr. I contacted my hosting provider iPage and they also said it is probably theme related. I have a support request into the Zephyr folks at MoJo but haven’t heard anything back.

    twentyfifteen or twentsixteen should do the trick. I’m guessing one or both of those might be in your theme directory.
