WP admin login screen has replaced standard homepage

other pages on the site work, its just the home / landing page

does your wordpress foolder structure changed ?

if not delete the files and reupload, something is wrong.

post your htaccess file here just to be sure too

OK yehudah – you have actually helped – I have identified the problem.

It was a problem with iThemes security plugin. When you referred to the .htaccess file, I went and checked it out. Even though I couldnt see what the problem was, I decided to deactivate iThemes security, which writes to the .htaccess file. Once deactivated, the site came back up.

Why? I have no idea!!! Why would that be?

i don’t know this plugin but probably he identify some wiered issue that cause him to write bad rules to your htaccess file.

pretty screwed up security program… instead of hiding the back end it forces people there. What a total security plugin FAIL.
