    Hello there,

I’m not too sure if I’ve posted this in the right area, so please feel free to remove/move if necessary.

Basically, I have the domain https://luckvintage.net with WordPress Installed. I was wondering how I would be able to have my WordPress Administration URL on a subdomain, or even a completely different domain that I already own. I have tried looking online for articles and found some, such as this one https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/138944/host-the-wp-admin-on-another-domain but I was not able to find a solution using it.

    Many Thanks.

  • If you are using cPanel, then follow below the steps:

    1) Create a subdomain from cPanel, it will create folder inside public_html.

    2) Then install WordPress from cPanel, While installing select subdomain’s folder as root folder to install.

    3) It will install WordPress in your subdomain.

    4) Your wordpress administrator url will be like https://sub.domain.com/wp-login.php

i have a similar question. i was speaking to alibabacloud today about their CDN services. they stated that if we do not want our wordpress activity to run on the CDN (higher fees, and maybe difficult to use wpadmin) then we should instead move the wpadmin to a subdomain.

    current: https://www.domain.com/wp-admin
future: wp.domain.com (wordpress admin area and all site edits)

they then stated that we could use the CDN for all www traffic and that would exclude the wp.domain.com traffic.

is this a reasonable solution? any suggestions?

    thanks!
