wp-admin vs pretty permalinks error not dealt with

    As many I wonder if this is the correct place to put this but I really think that there’s a problem still being unsolved by WP.

    I must say I love!!! WP and the way it’s set up with the plugins etc. but I keep running into a problem which cannot stay unsolved! It seems that no one is actually intending to solve it either.

    It’s nice to post on the forum that turning on permalinks will result in an error trying to login (wp-admin or wp-login) but either no one replies or the users are oblivious about the cause and recommend just about anything just to recommend… The error also occurs with a clean install, so it’s in the WP code from the start. The only thing that (temporarily) helps is deleting the .htaccess file.

    Who is responsible for the code so they can actually fix it in a 4.5 version?

    The feedback in all of this:
    1) make the forum category based so it’s more obvious where to post something and where to search for it;
    2) if a large number of forum members are running into the same problem, try to take a hint.
