• Hi, if someone can help me that would be great. For some reason of which I have no idea, a problem just cropped up. When I go to my login page and put in my username and password and click login, a dialog box pops up with that says on top:

    Opening wp-login.php

Then it says in the box…

“You have chosen to open wp-login.php” and it says what should Firefox do with the file, open with Wordpad or Save. When I do either, the file opens with nothing on it.

This never used to happen before. It used to just go to the dashboard.

When I go to the wp-login.php file in my server, it is NOT empty at all. The domain name I’m using to get to the page is:

    https://www.myname.com/wp-login.php

Does anyone know what’s going on? It’s driving me crazy.

  • I’ve seen this happen most frequently when a server is over-loaded. See if the behavior changes at different times of the day, maybe send a note to your host…

I’d bend the host over and spank them, and put them on a time out.. Get another host prolly..is a better suggestion lol.. I dunno though, never really heard of this before..
