WP Appears Hung on Edit

  • I am running WP1.5 and I am fairly new to WP. I have posted a few entries on my blog and have edited most of them several time. I am having a problem now with a story I have edited successfully before. When I make a change and click either “save and continue editing” or “save” it appears to save the changes to database, but the page never properly reloads. It seems to timeout and the same page is there. The edits are still in the text area, but the preview window is still showing the old text. However, if I view the site from another brower, the post does have the proper edits made. Any ideas?

  • Usually this indicates it’s getting hung up pinging one of the update servers.

    Admin
    ->Options
    ->Writing
    ->Update Services

    Clear the list. You can always manually-ping via the web.
