• Hi,

I’m trying to use a slug for a new page, in this example ‘pub’. However somewhere in the dim and distant past I uploaded a photo of a pub and that has now taken the slug ‘pub’. Short of going into the database itself to delete this record, is there a way of releasing this slug to use as a page? When you hit the URL it presents the image as a blog post but this is not editable as a blog post. The only options are to edit the image itself.

Any plugins that could perhaps manage this for me?

    TIA

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Open that image from media library and edit it’s permalink. Change it from pub to something else. After that you will be able to create page with pub slug.

    Hi @jaykpatel,

You’d have thought that would be the obvious way to do it but you can’t edit image permalinks like you can pages and posts. At least I can’t edit this one.

Aha! Scrap that. I’ve just realised what the issue was. I didn’t have ‘slug’ ticked in my screen options. I think the problem has now been resolved.
