• Hi Everyone,

    Working on my site today and suddenly it started failing to load when I enter the address in any search engine.

    IT strangely works fine when viewed on a Mobile phone.

    When I try and preview pages (desk top), the preview also fails to load.

    Occasionally, the preview page does load, but is showing the backend of WP as a preview i.e. the preview is showing:

    ABOUT WORDPRESS
    * ABOUT WORDPRESS
    * www.ads-software.com
    etc.

    This morning I updated 2 plugins, which I thought was the issue. I have regressed my site to a version from 4 days ago via Go-Daddy hosting….. the problem is still there!!!

    So in short:
    – My site is failing on every platform except mobile.
    – The WP is being displayed as the webpage.
    – Regression to an earlier version did not work.
    – I have created a construction page which is set via Imprezza maintenance mode. This is working on the Mobile view, but is not working when viewed from a desktop, the search engine can not find the page.

    Any thoughts you may have out there would be greatly appreciated. At my wits end.
    I cant work out if this is a Hosting issue, a WP issue or a plugin issue.

    Thanks Guys and Gals.

  • Hi Krissy,

    I don’t see any cause for the error on the website itself. The fact that you see backend menu items in the frontend is due to the fact that you are logged in and have the admin bar displayed, but this is apparently not displayed correctly. I dont see any backend-items but an empty page (no content, only menu).

    My recommendation would be that you install this plugin:
    https://de.www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/
    And there start the troubleshoot mode which deactivates all plugins. Then activate the plugins individually until you encounter the problem again.
