    Hi,

From what I saw in the bbPress source code, it should work as it is.

I have not the time to install and test bbPress, could you fake a notfication to the email address mentionned in the plugin page so I can have a look?

    Hello Hellonico,

I setup a scenario which should have triggered one of the emails to be sent to the address mentioned on the plugin page a few minutes ago.

Please let me know if you have received it.

    Thanks

    Hello chris1234p,

No, I didn’t receive anything but I forgot to update the email address in the last release. Try sending it to: wpbetteremails [ at ] helloni.co

Do you have the same problem as DavidVeksler above ?

    Hi Hellonico,

I just replied twice to a test account set to your email, which should have triggered two emails to go to the email address you mentioned in your last reply. Please let me know if you

I work on the same project as DavidVeksler

    Hi Chris,

Thanks, I received them, they’re both plain text and should be wrapped with the HTML template. Something must be wrong else where but I can’t tell without debugging code.
Are you sure to have a valid template ? (e.g. with the %content% tag)
Are you on a network (=WP multisite) ?

    Hi Hellonico,

I am not 100% familiar with templating emails or your plugin in general, but here is the code which seems to be sending the email.

We are on a network/multisite install.

    Thanks

    Hello Chris,

I already had a look at the code responsible for sending notifications in bbPress.

Did you check if you had the HTML template in WP Better Emails settings page? My plugin isn’t very multisite support friendly. Network activate will activate the plugin but not set the options (template; etc.), you have to activate on each site.

    Hi Hellonico,

Yes there is a HTML template and a text template. If I send a sample email the template is applied and works correctly.

The emails in question are being sent from the “main” site and the plugin is enabled there.

The plugin is not enabled on the network / mu-site.

Do you have any other thoughts?

    Thanks

    Hi Chris,

It looks odd. Without debugging code myself, I can’t tell what’s going wrong but have no time right now to setup bbpress, create sample data to test it, etc.

If you have staging environment, I can have a look and find out the issue here.

    Hi Hellonico,

Do you just need wordpress admin access to the staging environment? Or something more than that?

Thanks again for taking the time to reply.

    Hi Chris,

An admin access won’t let me debug code.
An FTP/SFTP access would be great. If you can’t, an archive (dump + files) I can setup locally will do the job.

Hellonico – we can give you staging access – can you email your ssh key to David Veksler? I will email you his contact info. Thanks
