WP Block Editor & 2024 Theme – Page template cache

    Hello there,

    I’m testing Jetpack Boost (3.4.9) with 2024 Theme on WP 6.6.2 (clean – without other plugins) on LocalWP (Tested on: Apache & Nginx, PHP 8.2, PHP 8.3, PHP 8.3.8).

    Steps to re-create:

    • On clean WP: Turn on Optimize Critical CSS & Cache Site Pages
    • Sample Page: Change template to “Page No Title“
    • -> Optimize Critical CSS: Regenerate -> Success
    • -> Cache Site Pages: Clear cache -> Success

    Results:

    • Logged-in: Sample Page uses template of choice (Page no Title)
    • Logged-out: Sample Page uses standard page template
    • Logged-out (incognito mode): Sample Page uses standard page template

    What can be wrong?

    I tested your scenario on a freshly set up free https://tastewp.com/ instance but couldn’t replicate the problem.

    Would you mind testing on https://tastewp.com/ as well?

    I can confirm it’s LocalWP fault. Clearing log shows actions, but cache is keeped if only LocalWP typical basic installation. I’ll made later post on LocalWP support forum.

    The 1:1 installation copy was tested also on live hosting and WordPress Studio – everything works fine.
